Sunday, October 19, 2008All divisions are filling up quickly, so Register NowRegistration for all events will also be available at the Health and Fitness Expo if those events have not reached capacity. In order to register at the Health and Fitness Expo, you must come prepared to meet with the Bureau of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection. A valid form of proof of identity and citizenship is required. For the majority of participants (U.S. and Canadian citizens over 18 years of age), this means either a passport or BOTH a driver’s license AND birth certificate issued by a federal, state, provincial or municipal authority. U.S. and Canadian citizen children aged 18 and under will be expected to present a government-issued birth certificate. For additional acceptable documentation, THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE FOR ANY EVENT. Cancellation Policy Entry fees are non-refundable. Entries are non-transferable to another person or event. That means that once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not transfer your entry to another participant, another event, or to another year. Since the events are international, it is a federal offense to cross borders illegally. Therefore, do not give your number to another person. The Marathon, in accordance with management executives, city officials and local law enforcement has the authority to cancel any of the events for emergency purposes such as, but not limited to, inclement weather or threat of terrorism. If such emergency conditions force cancellation, refunds cannot be provided since funds will have been spent in preparation for Race Day. T-shirts will be distributed.
Packet Pick Up Location and Times: Marathon, Half Marathon, Team RelaysPacket Pick Up for these events will be held at the Health and Fitness Expo at Cobo Hall, Detroit's premier conference and exhibition center. The Cobo Center is an easy 10-minute walk from the host hotel.Cobo Center One Washington Boulevard Detroit, MI 48226 There is plenty of parking available in and around Cobo Center. Hours of operation: Friday, October 17 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday, October 18 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. These are international events - you will be crossing international borders. Therefore, we must adhere to all federal laws governing entry and exit to foreign countries. In order to maintain the privilege of crossing borders, all participants must show up in person and provide proof of identity and citizenship in order to receive your race number and packet. For additional acceptable documentation, NO PACKET PICKUP ON RACE DAY - NO EXCEPTIONS Packet Pick Up Location and Times: 5K Fun Run & Kids' Mini-MarathonPacket Pick Up for these events will be held at the Health and Fitness Expo at Cobo Hall, Detroit's premier conference and exhibition center.
