Is it still possible to register for the 2008 Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Marathon?
The relay and half marathon divisions have reached their maximum entrants, and registration has closed for these events.  Online registration is closed. Only a few spots are open for the marathon and 5K.  If still available, you may register for either of these events at the Saturn Health & Fitness Expo presented by Whole Foods Market on October 17 and 18.

What is a Start Corral?
A Start Corral is your assigned starting area.  Start corrals are alphabetized based on expected finish times.  Marathon runners and half marathon walkers are in corrals A – J on the west side of Washington Blvd., with the fastest runners starting in A.  Half marathon runners and Relay Teams are in K – T, on the east side of Washington Blvd.  Your number bib will also show your start corral.  This is the only corral you can start the race in, as volunteers will be checking every participant before allowing entry to the corrals.  Corrals will have large signs to help guide runners.  There will be absolutely NO start corral changes on race morning.

Where should I park on race day?
If you’re driving to the race, leave ample time for traffic congestion and parking.  As our race keeps growing, so does the congestion.  The Detroit Free Press/FlagstarMarathon has negotiated a special $3 event parking price for you through Olympia Entertainment. The selected Olympia lots are located outside of the course route, allowing for easier egress after your race. All designated parking is a half-mile or less from the Start and Finish lines. For more information, go to: Race Day Parking
